if there is no uninstall, the provider might still be in use.
Install another one and make sure to select it in Host > HTML Editor Confiuration.
If you don't have this option, you need to select default provider in web.config (Search for FCK)
Also remove add provider here.
Next remove FCK folder from /providers/HTMLEditorproviders folder and fckeditor dll from /bin folder.

Sebastian,  I went to "HTML Editor Manager" and found that it had somehow switched back to the FCK editor.  I had changed that earlier, which you can see from my post above

I found where to change the FCKHtml Editor to the correct (for reasons I don't understand) DotNetNuke RadEditorProvider

HOST -> HTML Editor Manager button ->  Choose from the dropdown on the left.

I then cleared the cache again and restarted the application.  I can now save correctly.  Thanks for the help.

I am not sure how it changed back to that.  I was able to delete it after making the change.  Thanks for your help

anyways, most important you were able to change the default editor. Please make sure, /providers7htmleditorproviders/fck folder has been removed.
