I'm trying a clean install of 3.3.1 and it is failing. It seems to be trying to reference my Database UID of TFP, but gets it wrong.

Here is the error info on the screen:

Server Error in '/' Application.

Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.

That term as shown there is not in my web.config and the Database name and UID and Password are correct. The UID is actually all caps TFP but this error uses lower case. I don't know if that is relevant.

Anyone got any suggestions.

looks like you're missing an equals sign. your connection string should have a "uid=ftp;" string, and that error indicates that it's finding something like "uidftp"

That's what I thought, at first. So I checked ny web.config and that term does not show up. I double-checked the Server info, and it was correct uid=TFP

The UID is actually all caps TFP but this error uses lower case. I don't know if that is relevant.

That was my problem! I had checked it, and it was right - in the web.config I thought I had loaded. But I had loaded a slightly different one - that did have that mistake. Whew - what a nuisance. Computers should be clairvoyant.
