Is there any way (in DNN 7) to have some roles that require the Admin to approve before a page is accessed and other roles that don't.
When a user signs up I want them to be given two roles (this will be done by Dynamic Registration module), one role will be automatically assigned and automatically approved giving them access to pages viewable by that role BUT the other role will also be automatically assigned (based on a Dynamic Registration field input) but the admin MUST give approval before the user is able to access additional pages. They must be able to login as the first role will be active but how do I go about only letting them view the extra pages once I manually approve them?
Is that possible without additional modules? If so, how?
Thank you.

it is the idea of moderation that a user becomes a member only after this has been approved.
Anything else is not supported by DNN out of the box.

Thanks for your reply.

Are there any modules that would do what I need?

Thank you.

I don't understand, why your moderator does not assign new users to the 2nd role during approval process.

DNN is set to public registration so the moderator does not have to approve the users before access. The first role is automatically assigned and gives them access to the public areas of our website. During the initial registration, users are asked if they want to access a private section of our website. If they answer "yes" then the second role is automatically assigned BUT the moderator must approve the role before giving them access. It appears there is no way to have one role automatically approved and another role manually approved on the same registration (and with DNN set to public).

Thanks
