Hi I have just run a fresh install of dnn 7 latest version as I wanted a nice clean install I exported the data from our old website which has been upgraded since version 5 I believe, the site is all setup and running fine except the form and list module will not send emails. I have checked settings under host smtp and get an error when I try to test send an email we have an ip address with anonymous access which worked fine in previous versions. I wanted to know what has changed in this version that stops DNN from sending emails. I have added an email address under host settings however I still get this error msg 

Micross IT > Host > Host Settings

any ideas how I can resolve this

it sounds like an issue of your SMTP server not accepting the email being sent. check SMTP server log.

Hi
Try setting a valid gmail address in smtp server setting and set host email with also a gmail one. Use "smtp.gmail.com" in smtp port. SMTP authentication as Basic and enable SSL as checked.
Then Test SMTP setting. Check if you are getting any mail or not.
