I am setting up a site using the DNN core blog. On the blog page the templates use: [Post:link]. This generates a correct link (example: http://totalpublicspeaking.com/Articl...).

I have placed a blog module on my home page and I am trying to create a template to display the latest blogs. This time when I use [Post:link] it generates the wrong url (for the above example: http://totalpublicspeaking.com/Home/t...).

It is referring to the home tab rather than the articles tab and a 404 error is returned. I have set the parent blog to "Articles" in the settings.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have reproduced this issue with placed a 'lastBlog template to a other page as the blog is placed.  Looks as an issue into the link generation in the module.

You can make this work if you do this, using the original
[viewsettings:url]post=[post:contentitemid] :

if you add the following to the Template Settings dialog box:

pagename/tabid/ttt/

where pagename is the name of the target blog page (without the .aspx), and ttt is the tabid number.

A more detailed discussion of this is available on CodePlex at: https://dnnblog.codeplex.com/workitem...
