I am looking at the apppool settings because for some reason my DNN 7.0.6 has worker processors getting stuck and over time the apppool just resets itself.  I test the pages that they are showing being stuck in the worker processes and they load with out issues.  Wondering if I could can try any type of settings to help release them after a certain amount of time.  Just believe something is not healthy or correct.

Hi Chris;
When testing with IIS 8 I user Custom named AppPools so I only have 1 Application running in a given AppPool

I generally only edit the Recycling Settings for a specific AppPool.
I'll check the "On-demand"; "Conguration Changes"; "Unhealthy ASAPI" settings on the 2nd screen of the pop up.
Everything else I leave as default.

I switched to Custom AppPools back in IIS6 days because I had similar experiences to what you're describing and that nonsense stopped with Custom AppPools.

Thanks Ken, What about Ping Enabled, Load User Profile settings and Queue Length?  I have had no luck figuring out what is causing our server to hang.  It is only this site which is good but it is our main site.  Such a pain because I see it happening but no clues on what could be the cause.

don't touch load Profile, if the site is running well.
I usually switch recycle settings from idle time to fixed time (usually 3 am).
make sure to use a single worker prodess per application!
