Hi,

I've upgraded to 7.1.2 and file upload button (from my computer) has disappeared from the screen in Journal Module and also in Social Group module whe you click in entry comment to add a photo or file (it only appears the text " Upload from my computer ". It still appears and works fine the button "Browse from site".

It works fine in release 7.0.6 ...

I don't know is a dnn bug, because I don't have modify anything in between ...

I will appreciate any help.

Regards.

Please check your jQuery and jQueryUI Settings on your Host Settings! Since DNN 7.1 the code is modified to Support newer Version.  Use the Versions that shipped with DNN and do not use the CDN.

Hi Matthias, thanks for your quick reply.
The case is that I detected this issue in my future site (under construction - live in a host provider) and then I try to reproduce it in a new fresh localhost 7.1.2 installation (dnn Community-Awesome Cycles website - 2 locales) - with no modifications at all - and the issue was the same!
After your recomendations I've checked what configuration is in jQuery Settings (is the authomatic one):

jQuery Settings

Installed jQuery Version: 1.9.1

Installed jQuery UI Version: 1.10.3

Use jQuery Debug Version? (blank)

Use Hosted jQuery Version? (blank)

Hosted jQuery URL: http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.9.1/jquery.min.js

Hosted jQuery Migrate Plugin URL: (blank)

Hosted jQuery UI URL: http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jqueryui/1.10.3/jquery-ui.min.js

Is this a 7.1.2 bug? Or there is something I'm doing wrong?

Thanks again.

Miguel

Hi Michel,

the Settings looking correct.  But notice that something hase changed on the new jQuery and jQueryUI.  You have also to check if your Skin loads a own jQuery and jQuery library.  Make sure the module you are using are compatibe with the new jQuery and jQueryUI library and use the last Version of them.

It is not a bug, looks more as a Style issue on the Skin or an module.

Thanks again ...

Yes, I'll check my skins about jQuery version, but the standard skin  from dnn Awesome Cycles website has the same problem, the issue about  file upload button happens in the same way in a fresh dnn installation ...
