Hi everyone,
I have been using DNN since version 4 and although I have managed to build several sites I have never gone too deep into the coding side of things.

I am currently looking at buying a new skin and a lot of new skins on snowcovered seem to use bootstrap. From what I can see on the demo sites the bootstrap function seems to add nice touches to the skin but I am just wondering if I will need a more indepth knowledge of coding to be able to use bootstrap.

Any advice from anyone who has experience of this would be much appreciated.

Thank you,
Matt

My team is launching several new DNN7 sites with "responsive" skins and Bootstrap baked in. I don't know exactly what you mean by "more indepth knowledge of coding to be able to use bootstrap." But we've found it easy to use the bootstrap CSS classes for tables, images, forms, buttons, etc.

The skins we chose use Version 2, so I find myself referring to this site frequently -  http://getbootstrap.com/2.3.2/base-cs....

Best of luck with your new site!

As I get new Input, DNN 7.2.0 will come with a new Skin that included bootstrap 2.  Think using the Beta and looking into the Skin would help to find out how it works.

The main Bootstrap site contains all the possible CSS tricks and code you may need - definitely look for a DNN skin with Bootstrap included and it makes non-designers lives a lot easier to style/dev
