Hi all!

I sure, that I am not the first who faced with the next problem, but searching on the forum didn't get any result.

 So:

I am russian, therefor i want that the links in the menu (main menu on the main page) was shown like russian words. So I have to give to pages russian page names (the "page name" attribute in the page manegement). But then my url links become look like http://mysite.ru/"russian word"/"russian word.aspx". And browsers see russian letters like a "%D0" etc.

So my site pages have names like this: http://mysite.ru/%D0%92%D0%BE%D0%B7%D0%B4%D1%83%D1%85/%D0%92%D0%BE%D0%B7%D0%B4%D1%83%D1%88%D0%BD%D1%8B%D0%B9%D1%88%D0%B0%D1%80.aspx.

This is bad for SEO, and some users afraid of such links.

So: I need that my pages have russian names, russian titles, russian words in the menu, but english url-links.

How can I solve it? I think there is should be decision.

AFAIK, Navigation couldn't localized by dnn.  But you can try ealo.codeplex.com to localize the Menu.

Stef, which DNN version are you  running?

NON-ASCII characters in URLs are supported in DNN 7.1.0 and above, using advanced URL format.

I am using 07.00.06. Thank you all, I will try to upgrade, but if it won't help - ealo.codeplex.com

I am not sure, whether EALO is still supported - Apollo PageLocalization might be a more suitable solution (get it from codeplex)
