Hi!

I'd like to know how I can add the possibility for each user to set the session time  duration.

I know that almost certainly I need to develop a specific module for this feature but I'm no sure how to do it!

Thanks for any help!

I've try to work around HttpContext.Current.Session.Timeout but it don't take effect with dotnetnuke session timeout!

 Any idea about?

we do not use sessions in DNN which is why you're not seeing anything change. If you mean time a user is logged in then PersistentCookieTimeout and forms auth cookie timeout control that but are application wide settings (though the user can choose to check the "remember me" box to decide if it's a temporary auth cookie or a persistent one)

Thanks Cathal,

I know that persistant cookie  timeout is an application  setting in web.config, but I'd like to know how modify it by code. I want develop a new module where each user is able to choose after how much minutes of inactivity dotnetnuke must to logoff that user

I think I've found the solution.

I need to modify AuthenticationController.cs in Dotnetnuke library and I set there the PersistentCookieTimeout loading instead of web.config setting default value the user value stored on DB by my new module.

Is it the right way!??
