Hi.

I have a couple of dozen guesthouse listings that I want to add to my website.

Each guesthouse will need its own page, I have photos of the guesthouse and of the rooms, and I will add some text. I will add links to the guesthouse's website (if it exists), and also a tripadvisor link (also if it exists).

I don't want booking/ecommerce functionality.

I also would like the ability for people to add reviews (using the DNN login system).

I have three options I believe:

* build bespoke module(s) for this. I have no experience building DNN modules, but I am a C#/SQL programmer

* buy something - I have no idea about what product would be suitable.

* or just make each page a static page, and skip the review functionality.

Any thoughts? I don't want to spend too long on the process as it's a fairly basic website. Neither can I spend too much money, just a couple of hundred at the most if I went that way.

have a look at property agent module by www.ventrian.com (paid subscription required for download, but it is worth the money :)

One quick way to add review capabilites is to take advantage of a 3rd party services like  http://disqus.com/

You could make static pages for each guest house and just add a disqus forum to each page that will automatically handle posting using the uses facebook or other rego type details - they wont even need to log onto your site to do it.

Alternatively you could again do a page for each guest hours - but use separate DNN Feedback modules on each page to collect reviews etc.

You could go with your 3rd option and use the core Feedback module for your guest book functionality. But, I'd agree with Sebastian....see if the Ventrian module has the options you want.  (Plus, with your Ventrian sub: you also get their other modules.)
