Hello,

I have a plain website on dnn 7.0.6 which is not using the active social stuff, but i get some weird unsolicited errors of the kind: "Unhandled Error Adding Module to contentPane" where the ActiveTabName is My Profile. And other kind of errors are logged if I visit those pages from the admin to check what they are about and why they are there.

How can I disable the whole functionality and can I safely delete the 'activity feed' page tree that came with at installation?

FYI, there are few registered users who need to login for a specific application, but they do not have to know each other and have nothing social to share.

Thanks

Franco

the social items are modules (which can be found in the extensions page) so most of them can be uninstalled (however profile is part of the platform so can't) - however usually the easiest thing to do is to delete the pages i.e. go to admin-> page management and remove whatever pages you don't want.

Thanks Cathal. I removed the pages except for the "activity feed", which can only be disabled. Is that correct?

yes, but you should place view profile module on it. if necessary, you may also place message center on it (otherwise messages and notifications will be send, but no one is able to access it).

Ok, thanks. May you still clarify one thing for me, please? On the same site I get 2 portals, one with those pages and the second one without from the start, I guess, because I wasn't ever involved with that. How come? What is the setting that adds them in the page tree?
