Does anyone know of a way to use the built in content versioning for a custom module I make, the same way that DNN does for thier Text/HTML modules?

That would be up to how you code your module - the HTML module simply saves a new record to the HTML table every time you make a change to the content.

You could do something similar in your own module depending on what it actually does.  There are no generic mechanisms in dnn that make it do anything special as such - its just a function of how the module is coded.

There is a long time request to have some "workflow" functionality in the core - please check this idea: http://www.dnnsoftware.com/voice/cid/131774 and feel free to vote for it.

Best wishes
