I'm trying to get the Blog Calendar showing up in Swedish by letting it use the jquery.ui.datepicker-sv.js file, without success.

Adding
$('#blogCal[module:moduleid]').datepicker.setDefaults( $.datepicker.regional[ "sv" ] );
in blogCalendar\template.html doen't help.

Q: Where does the datepicker take its default language from? I can't find any jquery.ui.datepicker-en-US.js file.

Thanks!

The module checks to see if the template js directory contains localized subdirectories. In the case of the template "blogCalendar" this is the case. This is how it decides to load this:

Code:

   ' localized js files?
   Dim locale As String = Threading.Thread.CurrentThread.CurrentCulture.Name.ToLower
   If IO.Directory.Exists(ViewMapPath & "js\" & locale) Then
    For Each f As IO.FileInfo In (New IO.DirectoryInfo(ViewMapPath & "js\" & locale)).GetFiles("*.js")
     ClientResourceManager.RegisterScript(Me.Page, ViewPath & "js/" & locale & "/" & f.Name)
    Next
   Else ' check generic culture
    locale = Threading.Thread.CurrentThread.CurrentCulture.TwoLetterISOLanguageName.ToLower
     Next
    End If
   End If

Peter,

Thank you very much for your quick answer!

As there is no Swedish language pack, I had to do some "dirty work" in the localization tables and the Blog calendar now shows up in Swedish, starting the weeks with mondays (yeah, we are a little bit crazy here :- )).

Kind regards,

Hi Peter,

and how can I localize BigCalendar? Apparently it does not have the localization folders.
Besides, why does it make use of position:absolute which seem to overlay above other elements and it screws up rendering in Chrome (at least on the skin I am using, dnn7.0.6)?
