Hello there,
there is a problem with  populating the tabs Dropdownlist that is used in different admin sections (adding a page , or adding existing modules) on my server. I was hoping the update fix it but it started from summer and I am keeping having this problem so I though I fix it myself.

The drop down never gets populated and stacks and on loading. It seems it works with a web service. I need to find this web service and inspect why it is not working on my hosted server. So I need to get some hints to know where should I look for this web service.

Thanks

The easiest thing to do would be to install a httpproxy such as fiddler (http://fiddler2.com/) and inspect the http status i.e. is it a 404 (it cant find it), or perhaps a 500 (some server error). As an alternative you can set the log4net setting to All and get the error from there - http://www.dnnsoftware.com/wiki/page/... .
Note: if you've had problems with services before, I recommend you read http://www.dnnsoftware.com/wiki/Page/... and ensure you have installed the hotfix linked on that page.

Thanks Cathay,
Fiddler is actually a very handy tool, thanks for introducing it to me.
Seems the Webservice works fine but it has an error in Java script.
The unexpected thing is the same website works fine on my vps. But on the hosting gets ceasy. Although it seems to be a client side problem.
I found out somebody else face the same problem it is a 6 page topic with no final answer.
I posted my findings there too, hopefully eventually we find an answer to it

there can be many reasons for a problem so I would not be so sure that's the case as you have it working in one environment and not another. That usually suggests an environmental difference - I would check and make sure you're running .net 4.0 (you can see this under host->host settings).
