This night the developers at Fomola and I have tried to solve a problem with the Blogsy iOS app.

Posting from Windows Live Writer works fine, but from Blogsy it doesn't.

Here is an answer I just received from the app developer when he debug tested from his place to my site:
_____________________________________
I got "There was an error adding this new item." as a response from his server.
I think there is some compatibility issue in the request. I will look into this more to see what we can do about this.

I tested his account with WLW and it published the post.

I tested his account with BlogPress and it crashed several times but eventually published the posted.

I am thinking that we my be using an API call which WLW and BlogPress are not using and this could account for the difference. If this is the case then there is nothing we can do in Blogsy about this as I don't think we should eliminate an options/features to account for his blogging platform not being able to handle this API call.
______________________________________

Befor I starting to dig deeper in this (setting up a debug environment on my local development PC, I just want to check if anyone else have had some experience in this. Is the blog module not taking care of all the MetaWeblog API calls?

Thanks!

Staffan

I got some test information from the Blogsy developers.
Anyone who can see what's not supported by the Blog Module in the request?

Thanks

Staffan

Hi Staffan,

The source code is public and it is fairly easy to spot the methods supported by the module if you go to the BlogPost.ashx handler. It has all the methods. I'd be happy to implement new ones with a clear description/pointers to info.
