Hi everybody I did a fresh install of dnn 7.2.0 on a go daddy shared sever. Everything was fine until I needed to edit something in host settings. Any help would be greatly appropriated. Here is the error message I get on the page:
A critical error has occurred. Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Here is the log for it:

I had a look at the code for area and the exception is being thrown on a piece of code that tries to read the configuration for friendlyurls - it's a bit odd as there is code that checks for that file it seems, but please check and ensure that you have a folder called "Config" that contains a file called SiteUrls.config (amongst other files)

Thank you for the response, I ended up deleting all the files and reinstalling. It works now. I'm just guessing here but I think that I may have forgotten to check the permissions on a folder, but I don't know for sure. but thank you for your time!

that's probably it -whilst the code has checks for missing files and will create them, if it's doesn't have the necessary permissions it would fail - glad to hear its working now
