Is there a shortcut for copying a module to the same page that does not require the user to navigate to the same page they are already on?

If not... an additional menu option under "Modules" would be very effective:

Add New Module
Add Exiting Module
Add Exiting Module From Same Page
-----------------------------------------------
Find More Modules

If nothing else that option would result in the current page being pre-selected in the page drop down.

no, and due to the architecture of tabs, modules and tabmodules, we don't have plans to support that use case.

Cathal, How is "the architecture" a factor in preselecting/defaulting a selection in a dropdown box? Surely if the user can select it, then the UI can be automated to do the same thing?

due to the unique index (of table tabmodules), a module can only placed once on a page.

Sebastian, I do it (copy a module to the page that it originated) all the time using the DNN UI. If I can select the page to copy from why can't the DNN UI do it for me?
