I was fairly sure that prior to upgrading from 7.0.5 to 7.1.2 that when user need to retrieve their password the password was sent. The form was "Send password" or to that effect. Now I see that there is a "Reset Password" link. So I gave it a test.

"If you forgot your password, you can create a new one by providing your User Name. An email with a password reset link will be sent to your registered address. Click on the link and you will be taken to a page where you can then create a new password. "

Now what is sent is the same email that was issued before except that now it does not contain the user password (just a space where it once was) or a reset link.

I'm supposing that there is a new setup required but where and what? Heeeelp......

this misbehavior is caused by a missing update of the language pack, did you upgrate language packs applied to latest version?

I think I will add a new resx for this message in 7.2.2, to cover cases where sites are running "old" versions via custom portal versions. It will mean the translators will need to add that key in 7.2.2, but I think it's better to guarantee that the old resx is not loaded

Thanks Sebastian. No I did not do that. Didn't know that I had to. I'm using the default Eng. US. Just where do I pick up the latest version?

oops, for en-us there should be latest resources included. Did you ever try adjusting the text - you might still use a custom version (site or host level), which overrides system text. Check out default file in Admin > Languages, when clicking the pen in Site or Host column behind the language name (first tab). It will open language editor and you'll find the key named Email_user_password (or sth like this) in the default file. compare the text on the left with your text (in the text box on the right).
