I've a due order to upgrade to latest stable version of DNN i.e. 7.2 at this time.
I' could upgrade it from DNN 6.2 successfully but edit page and module movement between pane is not working on test site.

I've searched the same issue and found many solutions but none works in my case.
Attempted:
1. <modules runAllManagedModulesForAllRequests="true">
2. replacing NewtonSoft dll
3. IIS CGI/IASP authroization
4. Hot fix is not applicable on win8/iis8 32bit
5. Removing System.Web.Mvc.dll from bin

However, fresh DNN installation (7.2) works perfect on the same machine and comparing web.config I couldn't locate any change except for connectionstrings.

Please help how to fix it.

have you tried with the default skin - in theory if a skin had invalid markup/unclosed tags it could cause a failure -Also, I'd suggest looking at http://www.dnnsoftware.com/wiki/Page/... and seeing if any of those items reveal more detail. Finally,

Same issue here. Can not edit pages. "Edit This Page" button is doing nothing and  "Stay in edit mode" check box is in disable mode. I did try with both new DNN 7.2 installation and upgraded site from DNN 6 to DNN 7.2. A huge bug. Please let us know a fix.

Thanks!
