After adding an album to the gallery, a load of errors began cropping up.  Deleting the album didn't resolve anything.  Days of researching the various errors was fruitless, too, so The entire gallery was deleted from the page.

Now the following error occurs nearly every day, twice in a row (within minutes) and then pages start timing out (not only the original page, but others too).  The error is below:

System.InvalidCastException: Specified cast is not valid.
You may receive this error message after you install the Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1 (SP1).

CAUSE
This problem occurs because a change in the .NET Framework 1.1 SP1 causes an error in the execution of certain rules.

Note The .NET Framework 1.1 SP1 is available from Microsoft Windows Update, is included on the Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2) distribution CD as a separate installation, and is installed with Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1 (SP1).

If you've deleted the module, it sounds like something else is wrong there.  Did you clear it from teh recylce bin?  You might also log in as the host and on teh host settings clear the cache.  I would think after a day it would be clear, but had some funky things like deleted pages and modules popping in and out for a few days on a test server - where I was monkeying with the cache and app pool recycling settings.  Worth a try to at least get you back to square one.  Then it's off to the gallery project forums.....

First, to Sebastian...Sorry I got the wrong forum.  My apologies.

Second, thanks wedwardbeck for the reply.  Been there, done that, but I appreciate any & all replies.

Third, and most important, I resolved the errors by deleting the original page entirely!  Moved all the "good" modules to a new page and deleted the old page.  The error hasn't reappeared since then!
