I am trying to restrict the Digital Asset Management module on a page to only show one folder..

Digital Asset Management Settings->Set View Condition->Filter By Folder

It appears as though this setting is supposed to bring up a list of folders that I can select. However, it just spins. Two different browsers on two different workstations. I can live with that if I can figure out how to manually enter the proper info in the db.

Apparently, when it is set properly, an entry shows up in dbo.ModuleSettings  as FilterCondition.

What do I need to enter in dbo.ModuleSettings-> FilterCondition to make this work?

Thanks!

AFAIK, Evoq Content has a similar module, but you may also use DNN Links module (www.dnnlinks.com) for listing all files in a Folder on a page.

Well, thanks.

That's not what I asked. I don't need to list all files or whatever you said. I need to restrict the DAM to showing one folder for uploading files. If you have any suggestions for doing that, please share.

Thank you.

As far as I know, DAM is not designed for public access. There is an DNN upload control to be used in modules, which might handle a default folder.

Argh!

Who said I needed it for public access! No where did I mention that. It is for administrator access. Why are you answering this post if you have no input to offer. Stop! All I'm looking for is the database entry to restrict access on a given screen to one single folder.

Please stop responding to this thread. You have nothing to offer unless you know what the SettingValue column should be in dbo.ModuleSettings for a Digital Assets Management Module FilterSettings to restrict the Module view to a single folder.

Thank you.
