What exactly do you mean by this - what sort of categories area you trying to add to the menu - can you explain a bit more clearly what you are trying to achieve.

If you are talking about - adding dynamic entries into the dnn menu at runtime
- then the ddrmenu engine which is at the core of the default dnn menu engin does have a method of allowing this but it does require some coding.

Have look at the first answer to this http://www.dnnsoftware.com/answers/ci... question - it is frustratingly about the only documentation of this feature that exists.

Basically it lets you create a class - that you can tell the menu engine to call while it is in the process of rendering the menu to the page - it allows you to dynamically alter what menu entries are to be displayed and to inject additional entries of your own devising.

I used this method for categories blog can be dynamically added to the menu.
