I made a clean installation of 7.02.01. As soon as the installation completes, it displays the home.aspx and falls into an infinite loop, while displaying newsletter registration form and (possibly) login form, even though I am logged in as host.

I cannot stop this loop. I deleted cookies, and works fine, however as soon as I login again, it happens.

I deleted the installation and used 7.02.00. Same.

I updated to 7.02.01. Same.

I tried any other page, returns to home.aspx and falls into loop.

I cannot do anything...

please check that your application pool is using integrated mode and not classic -we have anecdotal reports of getting started not quitting when classic (which isn't supported) is used (or when .net 3.5sp1 rather than .net 4.0 is used)

Yes, it is in Integrated mode, and runs with the NetworkService account.

Download and install Fiddler (http://www.telerik.com/fiddler).  You can use that to find out where the redirect is occurring.

Also check the Portal Alias table and make sure you have a valid alias for the default portal (Portal ID 0).
