Hi 

    What to you instead of SMTPAppender as i cannot find type log4net.Appender.SMTPappender in latest dll of dotnetnuke.log4net.dll

dotnetnuke.log4net.dll is simply a wrapper around a version of log4net - I believe the version is quite old and hasn't been updated in a few years which is why it doesn't contain smtpappender - you'll have to use one of the other appenders I'm afraid (you can log a request at support.dnnsoftware.com for log4net to be updated so that the smtpappender becomes an option.
