Is there a way to add another web config file apart from the existing one? As the existing one points to dnn default database and i need another database for the usage of modules created by me.Please provide a solution, or what else can i do in such a case?

Simply add the additional connection string to the existing web.config.

Thank you for your reply.I am already doing it like that.I need to know whether adding another web config file is possible or not, like for a module separate web config file?

you cannot place 2 web.configs into the same Folder (and should not place it in a subfolder).
If you Need multiple Connection strings, add it to the same config file using a different name.
