Thank you for you questions, but it does not solve nor answer my question how do I change the host page manually, besides copying everything from the page I want to set as homepage to the current homepage. Reference your questions every thing went well with installation and skin applying. I made an 'exact' copy on my workstation and no problems.

Thats the problem, we cannot go to Admin-> Site Settings and change the home page. The drop down displays undefined and does not display the available pages. Thats why I started this thread.

hpkrekt is asking how to make this change within the database itself as the dropdown does not work for him, I and several others. This would be of interest to the rest of us while the problem is fixed
