i have dropdown and bound by sqlDataSource, it has autopostback.

it is not keeping the value after the post back.
there is nothing in the page_load

this works in my local but on our server it does not work.
i even explicitly set the EnableViewState=true

here is code
[asp:DropDownList runat="server" ID="ddPage" DataTextField="page" DataValueField="page" AppendDataBoundItems="false" DataSourceID="SqlDataSource2" /]

[asp:SqlDataSource ID="SqlDataSource1" runat="server"
ConnectionString="[%$ ConnectionStrings:SiteSqlServer %]"
SelectCommand="SELECT DISTINCT CASE WHEN Community = '' THEN ' --NONE--' ELSE Community END AS Community FROM myTable order by Community"]
[/asp:SqlDataSource]

this is commonly an issue with unexpected rebinding and is resolved by adding a check for postback - see http://forums.asp.net/p/1540056/37519... for some examples
