Hello-

I am attempting to push a site live for my client, and I am having trouble changing my site alias. When I enter the domain into the field, and check "Canonical", the save button does nothing. It acts like it is saving it but when the page reloads, nothing is there. (and yes, I'm in edit mode) ;)

Has anyone encountered this? Any tips?

what do you expect - as long as the value is stored you won't notice any behavior in browsing, since canonical is directing search engine crawlers to use right site alias when indexing your site.

Just to make sure: You are clicking the Save icon to the right of where you enter the new Site Alias? (I've clicked Update many times instead of saving the alias before.)

After that, change the mapping mode to Canonical and choose the Canonical alias. Then click Update at the bottom of the Site Settings form.
