Hello

i have develop a web site on dot net nuke (dnn) but while i am running my web site on local machine it is working with good speed (every thing working good loading , saving , filing data into controls) and with large amount of data.

But while i am working on hosting server with large amount of data every thing goes very slow and that is only because of large amount of data when i delete my data to half of actual one then my web site is running with little bit good speed.

My site contain 7-8 drop downs per page and every drop down have at lease 15000 data rows and i am binding drop down from database.

Can any one suggest how can we overcome this issue ?

Are you on shared hosting, VPS, dedicated server? Could this be an issue with hosted resources i.e. cpu/ram/other host limitations…?

15000 rows in a drop down is insane. No user can realistically use it.

Rethink the design.

as others have said your design is not ideal as any application would run slowly if trying to load so much data into a control - a better approach would be to use a progressive loading control i.e. one where it waits for a few characters to be entered and then fires off a service framework request to load data. There are a few examples in the platform such as https://github.com/dnnsoftware/Dnn.Pl... that you can examine to get inspiration

with 15k rows, I would use typesuggest (starting not before 3rd character), you may check out Membership Directory module on codeplex as a sample.
