Hello

I have a public facing site running on Windows 2012 server and a separate instance of SQL 2012 as my database.

Internally all my site aliases are functioning fine - localhost, localhost/dotnetnuke/site, and internal ip address

The portal  is  #3, my portals and portalalias tables show all the proper entries.

When I try to access the site from my public IP or hosted DNS name I get:

The INSERT statement conflicted with the FOREIGN KEY constraint "FK_PortalAlias_Portals". The conflict occurred in database "DNN", table "dbo.Portals", column 'PortalID'.
The statement has been terminated.

Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.

Exception Details: System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: The INSERT statement conflicted with the FOREIGN KEY constraint "FK_PortalAlias_Portals". The conflict occurred in database "DNN", table "dbo.Portals", column 'PortalID'.
The statement has been terminated.

Any information on how to resolve or what to change on IIS/DNN/SQL would be very greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Mike

if you enabled "auto add aliases" in Admin > Site Settings, DNN tries to add current url as website alias. This options should be turned off by default.

Thank you Leopold.  Your advise was spot on.  I completely forgot to uncheck the AutoAlias box.
