The site I am setting up has 8 products. I was wondering if a module existed that would filter the products by certain criteria. Similar to how amazon does it and many other sites. So the user could filter by certain specs of the products (size, weight). We will not be selling anything on the website it is just for information.

Amazon example - The filter is on the left of the page.

http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=hard%20drive&sprefix=hard+driv%2Caps&rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3Ahard%20drive

Thanks so much.

you need a product catalogue module, which provides these features - DNN pages and HTML is a combination, which is now capable to act like a database by design.

I see 1382 options for a product catalog. I need a specific one that works similar to amazon. I can't do research on 1382 modules.

Matt,

NB_Store (http://nbstore.codeplex.com) can be used as a catalog, this is just a setting. Anyway, it is a store module, and if you decide to sell products at a later time, it is quite easy to switch to this functionality. As NB_Store has a lot of templating capabilities, it should be possible to realize what you need.

Best wishes
Michael

If you only have to display a nr of products and nothing else why not go the clientside way of filtering and use a module like 2sexycontent or form and list

For this example

I used the form and list module to set it up, all the paging and filtering ( see the dropdowns ) is clientside using this jquery plugin
