OK, have an issue with SQL Server 2008 Express Management Studio?

I have DNN setup in IIS as outline in Michael Tobisch's steps to follow and am on step 7. When I download SQL Server 2008 Management Studio and run it, all that shows is the Installation Center, no Management Studio like what I was famaliar with in SQL 2005.

Is this because it is SQL Server 2008 Express? Or what am I doing wrong?

Cannot setup the database at this point.

Need some more guidance please! :-)

Bruce

no, SSMS hasn't changed much between SQL Server 2005 and 2014.
You need, however, perform a second SQL server install for these tools only, where you may select to install Management Studio.

PS: Michael missed to state, that you need to install SQL Server with advanced tools or SQL, you may deselect Reporting Server during installation. If you already installed SQL Server w/o SSMS, you may download SQL Server Management Studio install package separately and install SSMS separately.

I noted during the installation of SQL that only "Basic Tools" came up as a selection?

What did I miss or is there another download available somewhere?
