I am running DNN 7.2.2.  I have the URL type set to DNNFriendly with a setting of Advanced.  The URL Rewriting works great but it breaks one little thing on the site that previously worked.

The site has a link to an external blog site, which before I used IIS Rewrite rules to detect domain.name/blog it then rewrote the URL and added a server variable value to it indicated the blog.  The result was that the blog appeared to be just another page on the site in the URL.

The Advanced feature setting in DNN appears to break this and instead of getting the blog site I get a 404 error page from DNN.   I have tried a number of things to get DNN to not rewrite this page and let IIS rewrite it but it isn't working.  Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Here is a link to a screenshot of the IIS rewrite rule that use to work.

Thanks for the help!

I suggest checking out http://dnnurlmanagement.codeplex.com, it provides a number of settings for AdvancedUrlManagement that are missing in DNN platform.

Thanks Sebastian, I am already using that module and it hasn't seemed to make a difference.  Does anyone know the order of precedence when it comes to IIS Rewrite rules and DNN?

Thanks,
Stuart
