Hi Cathal,

For reasons that may or may not relate to the fact that the server I'm using for this (new) Dnn Install - and which shows the same problem described here - is 32Bit, I find t hat I can't use this KB Hotfix.... :(

You mentioned a 'manual' method to fix this? Can you expand please?

Hello,

This fixed my problem

Is there a check in DNN to ensure the IIS and ASP.NET prerequisites are all installed?

It is frustrating chasing DNN install issues only to find it is a missing patch.

we do check .net version and sql version, but don't check for supporting extensionless url's as that should already be applied (its also difficult to test for and reasonably rare as it's standard to all recent OS versions - most typically this occurs on unpatched Windows 2008 or older)
