I have a site down, it just loads to the install wizard instead of loading the website. This is on a DNN 06.01.04. What would cause this to happen? I've tried editing the web.config and uploading it but this didn't work.

Most of the tables when opened in management studio are returning no data just null including the HtmlText table, they seem to contain no rows of data.

Hi Andrew,

Make sure that the database connections are correct there are 2 you should be looking for.

If Dnn can't find the Database it will prompt the install wizard.

If you're sure the tables you're viewing are the ones that the web site use, something may have happened to the data. Since DNN can't find it either, it thinks it's a fresh install and that could be why you're getting the install wizard.

If you have a back-up of the files, get an older copy of the web.config to ensure the connection string is correct.

It looks like the data is missing from the database, I have another site on this server that has at least 1 entire table gone from the database as well. I've asked the hosting company to look into it.
