Hi everybody. Sorry for the newbie question. I have just been tasked with adding a few documents to a page that can be downloaded. There are already a few documents on the page that have a the URL set to LinkClick.aspx that pass a fileticket and a tabid. I have the documents in the "folders" that I want to add to the page. My question is this:

How do I get the fileticket id for the files I want to add to the page?

Thanks in advance.

Josh

Joshua,

That is handled automatically when you link to a file in your site by selecting it from the list of files in your site.

it depends on the module being used - in HTML module you might need to specify the link type, documents and similar modules will take care automatically:
simply switch to "edit" mode and select "add new document" (or sth similar) from module action menu to add the new file link. Fill in all form fields and save the record.

My hosting service had a hardware failure on the server that hosts my DNN installation. They have moved everything to a new server, but now I can't access my dnn website, or any of the portals and this is the log.resources output. I can't say that there is a relationship to this thread, but it talks about the closest thing I have been able to find after several hours of searching.

When it attempt to go to the web page I get 500 Internal Server Error.

I been through the database trying to find the null reference, but I can't see anything out of the ordinary.

Any help would be appreciated!!

there happened some error during the move - different version of .Net used, missing permissions or files.
Your hosting partner should know, what might have failed and fix it.
