Hello,

I'm working on a protected area of our site that will only be available to paying subscribers. The basics to that are obvious, but I was interested in making a nicer way to say you can't get there than the traditional "Access Denied". Ideally, it'd be great to have a page on the site to which users are directed if they're not a "Member" and they're trying to access "Member Only" content. That way, on the page they're directed to, I could basically put a bunch of ads for why they should become a member. Importantly, I don't want to change the "Access Denied" member universally - just for pages in that area.

AFAIK, there's no way to make a tab-specific "Access Denied" page, right? If not, could I do something similar?

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Mike

Hi
Can it be possible by giving permission on module level..like unauthenticated users will see different set of modules placed on the same page and authenticated users will see different set? Just an idea.

Thanks,

Though I personally haven't used https://stylehelper.codeplex.com/ but your description suggests that you're looking for a conditional redirect for a user role and that's what this module offers among many others.

See the documentation.

Hi
You can also look into the AccessDenied.ascx.cs page and try to redirect to the custom page on checking the query string parameter.

Thanks,

Mike,

what about changing the text in the resx file (admin\Security\App_LocalResources\AccessDenied.ascx.resx - Keys ControlTitle_access denied.Text and AccessDenied.Text) for that portal only?

Best wishes
Michael
