Hello community,

a couple days ago the Journal kinda dissapeared. We have a Staging about 4 months old with a running Journal both on 7.2

The magic thing here is, that the live-page hasent been updated and had now now addons, scripts since then. Only couple CSS here and there.

Checking with firebug, the content-frame is still available, "journalItems" also but empty. And the "journalTools" are missing completely. The "getMore" is still there but at "display: none" - so changing it with firebug to "block" and the get more button gets visible and clickable, and it loads even the old entries. However, the last posts and forum activities are missing.

Does anyone have an idea what it could be or where to start to check this?

regards
david

does the module still exist on the page and show up in edit mode?

Thank you for the quick response.

Yes, the module is still available and i'm able to edit the settings ('Editor in Journal' is checked).

I thought maybe there is something wrong with the permission for the groups. But even logged in as an admin does not show the actual editor.

In the view.ascx, when i change <% if (ShowEditor) {  %> to <% if (Request.IsAuthenticated)   {  %>
the editor becomes visible and i can post something. But the latest posts are still missing.

Yes, already tried out switching off the options and switching  themback on. Giving permission for the module to all groups.

Unfortunately changing nothing.

Is there a way to check some things, like the php 'var_dump' ? Or is there a way to see where it stuck and it doesn't load properly the elements?
