We're looking to upgrade from DNN 6.x to 7.x but are running into some issues with the HTML Editor. Some of the buttons are not displaying properly and the area that shows the display and version info that is normally below the editor is laying over the top of the editor.

 See screen shot: http://www.fortlewis.edu/dnn-screen-shot.jpg

Any ideas?

Hello,

I don't really know what might be going on here... but it looks like something is screwing with the editor's css. You might try doing "inspect element" on one of the buttons or something and see what files are influencing it. That should tell you most of what you need to know. DNN gives the editor a CSS file - you can mess with that in the host account, but this looks like something else is interfering with it.

I usually suggest installing CkEditor (http://dnnckeditor.codeplex.com), which is less sensitive.

Thanks for the replies. We used to use the CK Editor but it was having some conflicts with one or more of our modules so we switched back to the default editor. I'll play with the CSS and see what I can find.
