Please stop saying the suggested upgrade path is xx.x.x to x.x.x.x. to x.x.x.x.

If that was true, maybe the installer should NOT let you upgrade! The installation/upgrade should work. So many upgrade issues with the last two versions and no real solutions.

I think there are times when no more ideas are helping, is to strip your DNN installation of all third party modules and content while still getting the error, zip the whole DNN installation folder and backup the database, upload the zip and backup file to somewhere and someone can look at it. I might.

Brian,

that was just a first idea - and I said that it is NOT the suggested upgrade path, which can be found here. The installer does not check it, as it is not the "mandatory" but the "suggested" upgrade path. Depending on the installed extensions this could be something else as well.

I still think it is (or was) an issue with the .Net-framework. Sourabh said in his last post "I have tried by changing the framework but It still showing the same issue." He did not answer on my last post for five days, so I think registering the framework to the website has solved his problem. It would have been nice when he had written something like "Thanks, that was the solution", or posting his solution when he had found something else, but this is something you cannot expect from most of the people here.

Happy DNNing!
Michael

Respected Sir,

Sorry for late reply.

I have checked all the setting as you mentioned in the application. I have found that mentioned settings are present in the application.

After I have removed all the third module dlls from bin folder and put all the dlls of 7.3.2 Install package then I have successfully login in the application.

I have found that there was issue with the third party module dlls in the bin folder. I have checked the login functionality after removing third party module dll one by one then I have found the necessary dlls files.

Now, the issue have been resolved.

Thank You,

Sourabh S. Malani

Sourabh,

I am glad it works for you now - and thanks for posting the solution.

Could you just tell which extension made the problems? Maybe updating the extension with the DNN Update could help - this is quite easy to do, just copy the install package of the extension in the approprate folder under the "install" folder (modules, skins...) before you start the upgrade process.

Happy DNNing!
Michael
