I am running 2 DNN instances.  One is DNN 5 and one is DNN 6.2.  Both are having issues with the file manager.  When I click on the file manager to browse the file manager it hangs for 1 to 2 minutes before it pops up.  The root file path is clean.  Everything is sorted into folders.

I do see CPU usage jump up on the server while the manager is loading.  I have tried disabling the file sync amongst other things to no avail.  The File Manager had been working normally for a long time and recently has become an issue.  Not sure if anyone else has run into this.  My searches have not gotten me anywhere.  Any ideas?

those are both very old versions so I fear that few people can remember if there were even issues in those versions - i would suggest you consider upgrading to a more recent versions (particularly the dnn 5 one as dnn 5 suffers from a number of serious security issues that have been fixed http://www.dnnsoftware.com/platform/m... )

DNN url control is scanning all files in current folder upon load, if you are having hundreds of files in root or selected folder, this is typical behavior.
Reduce the number of files per folder.
