Hello 

I am trying to get list of users details (Display Name, Userid) belong to role or Group. I am using DNN 7.3.2 

I want to bind the data in Dropdownbox 

I am using VB.

Hi

I think methods that we were using previously for this are currently showing as obsolete. So you can write a custom procedure for this. For this you need to use tables likes Users, UserPortals, Roles and UserRoles etc.

you can use RoleController.Instance.GetUsersByRole(PortalID, RoleName)

most of DNN API is slow by design (otherwise, I wouldn't have needed to start http://dnnscript.codeplex.com). If you need faster response, you'll have to use modules bypassing DNN data access, like Effority membership (http://membership.codeplex.com).
