I have two questions concerning the use of language packs. Would be great if anyone has a clue!

1. Is there a way to have an other core language than en-US and how can this case be implemented? I found something in install.config file but could not find any documentation yet.

2. I would like to disable the country information that goes with the language info so user can't see if its an UK oder an US language pack. E.g. "English (United Kingdom)" should be showed just as "English". Is this possible and where do I have to do changes that langage information is shown in DNN like this?

Thanks in advance.

1) no, but you can disable system language per portal

2) use 3rd party skin objects, e.g. from www.apollo-software.nl
