I am not familiar with these modules but It's hard to believe none of the other commercial are not comparable.  I think the competitors should see a void in this market and fill it. Contact the competitors and tell them about the features you would like to see. When they see demand, they might add them. Don't just give up on them just because a feature is not there. You will have a much better chance with an active developer than from a developer who has abandoned his modules. BTW, I think Ventrian modules come with source code. You can hire a developer to add the missing features. I stay away from vendors who do not reply to emails. What happens when you buy a module and something doesn't work right? You'll be stuck with a lemon.

I've used Ventrian since the beginning (and still do), primarily NA for news and blogs (and child pages module every so often). I think the updated dnn blog module covers a lot of what I need to do going forward and I know that is actively being developed.  http://www.dnnsoftware.com/community-...

I think the last thing we would want is for DNN to acquire Ventrian and bundle the module into Evoq Content/Enterprise.

I can agree with you about NA, for it could also be a viable alternative, but what about Property Agent?

When I say that Ventrian is unique I mean primarily  to PA, it add great value for DNN and no alternative is available on the market. Stop this project would be a great loss to the DNN community!

...as I wrote at the beginning of this thread "8 out of 10 websites that I built I had to use Ventrian PA to achieve what I am asked by customers..."

Hi Sippy,

What about trying out the 2sxc content module.

I haven't yet tried this out for myself ( on my agenda to do before the end of the year ) but I have watched a couple of videos and read some articles on the Dnn Blog and it looks like you can build your own tailor made solutions to content displaying/input.

We have always used Form and List (for small content input and displaying) or created our own module solutions when needed. With the 2sxc module you will basically use 1 module to create (nearly) all content problems.

Might be worth a look, you'll find it here

Geoff.

I know 2sxc module and I've already try to develop little application with it, but it has absolutely nothing to do with PA.

With PA you can put online in a couple of hours any type of website with catalog feature highly customized and configured to suit many different needs and design, but if you do not know this module, this is not the place to explain what it does.
I have tested hundreds of DNN modules, but none at today is as powerful as PA!
