Why community blog comments do not show up for non logged in users? If I delete the dnnsoftware cookies, the comments stop showing up. I know only logged in users can post a comment but everyone should be able to view them. Looks like a bug?

AFAIK there is just a delay due to caching

What caching and what kind of delay that takes days?? I deleted the cookies and the comments stop showing. I don't understand what caching has to do with cookies and the display of comments.

I've seen the same thing and I believe it is an issue with the blog module where it does not correctly invalidate a cache - this means that if it's used in a webfarm (as dnnsoftware.com is), that different "nodes" may see different things at certain times. I once checked this by accessing two separate nodes and saw one with my new comment and one without. AFAIR the webfarm uses a certain amount of user affinity, so that's why you are likely to see the invalid records (until such time as something else expires the caches/does an application pool recycle). It's a 3rd party module, but i'll log it and see if the OPS team can resolve (I'm assuming they have a source code licence, or access to the 3rd party developer)

This still doesn't make sense to me. I see comments. I remove the cookies and comments disappear. Why would comments which are displayed to the public be related to any cookies and why would the cookies even invalidate comments cache? I don't see how these issues are connected. I would understand that someone might post a comment and it takes a while to show up or shows up for some people but not others because it didn't propagate across the servers in the farm. But comments (which once are accepted should always show up like static content). These are not new comments or comments which are related to user credentials.
