Sebastian,

Thanks for the idea. However, no change. The module and page settings allow all users. The links themselves can have specific security roles within them. None had any selected. I selected all users for one link but no change. The strange thing to me is that the same module displays fine on other pages. It is only the home page that has the issue.

Still looking for a fix ;-).

Hi Scott,

It seems funny that the links module loads an other pages apart from the homepage.

Here are another couple of suggestions for you to try....

1. check that the settings of the links module have been set properly

2. try to change some of the display settings

3. If the above has no effect try to add a new links module on the homepage and set that up to see if that 1 displays the same as the other pages.

Make sure you have no links modules in your recycle bin.

Clear your cache.

Hope this helps,

Regards,

Geoff

What's different between the home page and the other pages? The rotating banner. Examine the home page with one of the browser development tools in JavaScript console mode and you will notice that a script error is being generated each time the banner changes images. The error is something like 'dnn.controlpanel.toolbar' not defined. These repeated errors are apparently blocking the links module from properly rendering its contents. Since the error refers to the control panel toolbar (which is not present when an anonymous user or one without sufficient permissions to show the control panel, it also makes since that the Links module does render properly which logged in as administrator.

When you upgraded DNN, did you also upgrade the GumboSoft rotating banner module?
