@Sebastian I have just tried to add one more view.ascx inside module and it is not possible. Actually I can add two view controls in one definition but when I add module to the page only one view is rendered other is not there.

@Richard I think it is more clear to have two definitions as I want to add detail view on some page and navigate to it via url like: http....com/posts/post?postid=23345

@Sebastian you were right I have just realized that one definition can have multiple views. But there is issue with this approach.

Url that I get when using this is like "http://localhost/Posts/ctl/AnotherDetail/mid/493".

How would you architecture module e.g. Blog that have DefaultView(list of posts), DetailView(one post)?

you should use editURL method to navigate between default (list) view and detail view/edit mode for a record.

I don't think he wants that. AIUI he wants to display A, and then A plus B. Not A and then an editable A.

Best wishes,

Of course, it depends on the details of your UI. I understood you'd like to display a list of items with a detail link and an edit icon. In this case, editURL would be the method to go (even for view), which will either open a popup or display a single record solely on the page.
If you'd like to have a dedicated edit area aside the list, you would need to create a master control and child controls for list and detail view/edit form.
With regards to the next major version of DNN, you should consider implementing it as client side module (SPA) instead of relying on server controls and user controls.
