After I load my skins and set the site skin, my home page is no longer accessible. No errors occur on upload of skin. I am also able to apply all of my skins to new pages that I create and they appear to work. Of note the login & privacy links on these new pages points to pages that don't exist.

I was able to delete the original home page and create a new one, but can't get around privacy deal.

Any ideas on what's wrong, where to start troubleshoot or any posts that could help me?

Login & Privacy Error:

Default.aspx?tabid=56&error=Object+reference+not+set+to+an+instance+of+an+object.

Home Error:

When I delete the default portlets/modules from main page, the skins work. I still run into issue with login and privacy too. I wish you could set privacy page like you can the login page on admin side.

[CONTENTPANE] and ID = ContentPane must be on all pages. FOr some reason early on I though when I have an id=ContentPane on more than one page, I got an upload error. NOt getting it any more.

Moral of story - in an HTML based skin you must have a  [CONTENTPANE] and ID = ContentPane in XML. IF you run into upload issues on multiple skins with an aspx error. Load one single skin first that works, make adjustments on home page and then upload rest of skins later. Thats what worked for me - hopefully this will hepl others in future.
