I'm trying to use the DotNetNuke.Common.Globals.GetDatabaseVersion method to execute code if the DNN version is 4.3 or later. However, this method doesn't appear to return anything. Is it still supported?

Perhaps a better question is - what is the easiest, most efficient way to get the version number of the currently installed DotNetNuke application in my module.

Thanks!

I would use the assembly version.

Globals.glbAppVersion

Thanks Charles, I tried glbAppVersion and for some reason I'm getting the wrong version number.

I compile the module on a DNN 3.1.1 installation, and then upload it to a DNN 4.3.2 installtion, yet glbAppVersion reports 3.1.1. Is this because the module was compiled on 3.1.1, or could it be because the 4.3.2 installation originally atarted as 3.1.1 but was continuously upgraded ever since to where it's now - a 4.3.2 installation?

I ended up using PortalSettings.Version (which in turn uses glbAppVersion) since referencing glbAppVersion directly causes the compiler to hard-wire the value of Globals.glbAppVersion to whatever DNN version the module was compiled on because it's defined as a constant in Globals.vb.
